Belvoir Drive Bench Repair 26 March 2009
Following a number of reports of the indiscriminate damage that had been caused to a bench seat on Belvoir Drive, adjacent to Belvoir Close, representatives of this group decided to take it upon themselves to repair the item. Early this morning members after procurring some tools, new wood and a good oil based wood stain set to work on the offending article. An elderly neighbour facilitated the use of her electricity supply and with some elbow grease, despite the threat of impending rain the bench we are glad to report has been satisfactorily repaired to the very obvious delight of local pensioners who for some time had been deprived of the seat.
